31 Days of Healthy Living | Day 2

Hi there! Here is my Day 2 of my 31 Days of Healthy Living Series!

Yummy combo!
My husband and I usually drink a Shaklee 180 Smoothee once a day. He likes it for breakfast, I like it for lunch. We don't need to lose weight, but we are big on maintaining our current weight, and we chose the 180 Smoothees for several reasons!
  1. The Smoothees are a complete, balanced meal. And they taste great, too!
  2. When prepared as directed, you get 24 grams of protein! That's huge! All that healthy protein keeps us from feeling hungry too soon!
  3. The Smoothees are powered by Leucine, an essential amino acid, which helps you build muscle and BURN FAT! Woot!
  4. They are easy to make and so super convenient! Just pour, shake, and go! (Click here to watch my Lunch in 30 Seconds video!)
  5. The Smoothees are available in four yummy flavors: Chocolate, Vanilla, Cafe Latte, and Strawberry. Strawberry and chocolate are my favs!
For a quick, simple meal, simply take two scoops of the 180 Smoothee mix and add it to milk, almond milk, or coconut milk. Shake it up well and you've got a great meal replacement smoothee!
One of our favorite dinners!
We also like to blend them up with some yogurt, fresh or frozen fruit, maybe a little peanut butter, or even some spinach to make an extra healthy, extra filling meal! I've shared all the recipes here!
Important Note: The Smoothees are made from NON-GMO Soy! There's a lot of talk out there about why soy may be bad for you. It can be, when it's GMO Soy. But Shaklee ONLY uses Non-GMO products! That's one reason why we chose to partner with Shaklee...their integrity speaks volumes!
Have you tried the 180 Smoothees yet??

Three Day Mini Cleanse | Day Two

I'm checking in with my day two of the mini cleanse I'm doing! Today was much easier than yesterday! I didn't have any sweet cravings, which is my downfall. We frequently have homemade chocolate chip cookies in the cookie jar, and they're so easy to grab and munch on as a snack. But today, I didn't even think about them. Woot!
I was only able to get in about 10 minutes of HIIT because the boys were all over me today. No worries; I'll try again tomorrow!

Breakfast
Sweet potato juice with added Instant Soy Protein. We like to add the protein to our juices because...well just juice doesn't have enough protein to get me through an hour, let alone til my mid-morning snack!

Lunch
Chocolate 180 Smoothee with homemade almond milk

Snacks (one in the morning; one in the afternoon)
1 c fresh strawberries
1 organic string cheese
1 c popcorn/rice cake things

Dinner
Penne pasta with roasted corn, poblano, bell pepper, and grilled chicken (recipe coming tomorrow!)

Water
64 oz
Not bad! Just one more day and I'll be mini-cleansed!
