Testimonial Tuesday -Cinch Weight Loss

I met Laura in Dallas a few months ago during a Shaklee meeting. She is super nice, energetic, and loves telling her story about losing weight with Cinch! She is like most moms...takes care of everyone else before herself, didn't eat right, and before she knew it she had gained a lot of weight. Yikes!

How many of us have found ourselves in that same situation? (Raises hand). I myself tend to take care of everyone else around me and not eat right. I've put on a few pounds here and there, but drinking our yummy Cinch Shakes and eating Cinch Snack Bars (plus EXERCISING regularly) has helped me maintain my high school (yes, high school) weight!

Ya'll Cinch is the real deal. I know there are lots of other weight loss gimmicks out there. Wraps and miracle juices seem to be in right now. But common sense tells us that's not going to work in the long run.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle with healthy foods, exercise, and the help of Cinch products will let you get to the weight you want!

Here's her wonderful Cinch story!

Laura before
If I can do it, you can do it!  For years I have been spending time taking care of everyone else in my life – my children, my husband, my family, my friends, my job, my staff, my boss and my customers.  So it is no wonder that as my family grew and my responsibilities grew… so did I. Sure I had all the excuses and reasons why. But after watching my parents struggle thru cardiovascular disease and open heart surgery, I knew this was not how I wanted to age gracefully and not what I wanted my kids to experience.

So I took another look at the Body Mass Index chart and realized I was not at a healthy weight according to the medical data. That’s when I knew I needed to make a change. I chose Cinch® from Shaklee. I was tired of “yo-yo dieting;” I have lost and gained hundreds of pounds many times over. I wanted to lose the weight and stop the yo-yo. I knew the preliminary clinical study with real people conducted with Shaklee Cinch resulted primarily in fat loss, not muscle loss. I knew muscle helps metabolism.

I set my goal low:  to lose 15 lbs in 90 days just like the clinical study participants had achieved. To my surprise, not only did I lose the weight, I started to change my body shape! I went from “mom look” to athletic. Something I have never been in my life!  Cinch changed my life for the better, for good!

Laura after!

Do you have a great Cinch weight loss story? I'd love to hear about it!

Cinch it Up!

I drink our Cinch Chocolate Shake mix several times per week to replace a meal here and there. For me, it's not about losing weight, it's more about being super busy with two little's who rarely let me sit down for a meal. So the Cinch Shakes provide a meal in a glass. I can mix it up and drink one in the car on the way to preschool.

I was talking to another Cincher who told me she puts lowfat flavored  yogurt in her shakes. Um, YUM! Adding yogurt gives them some more thickness so it tastes like a real shake, not chocolate milk!

Here are a few recipes for you to try!

What are your favorite Cinch Shake recipes?

Use 2 scoops of mix, 1 cup of ice, 1/4 cup of water, and a 6 oz container of yogurt.
  • Boston Cream Pie Shake - Boston Creem Pie yogurt
  • Cherries Jubliee - Cherry Orchard yogurt
  • Chocolate covered blueberries -  Blueberry yogurt
  • Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake shake - Strawberry Cheesecake yogurt
  • Chocolate Raspberry shake - Chocolate Raspberry yogurt

Disclaimer: I use these recipes because I enjoy the taste. I do not know the caloric value of each shake when using low fat or light yogurt in the place of milk, soy milk, etc.

Cinch Energy Tea - Product Review

cinch pomegranate teaNote: I do not get this product free for reviewing. I bought it, tried it, and wanted to share my thoughts with you.

I bought Shaklee's Cinch Energy Tea Mix a few weeks ago because I was looking for something that would give me that late afternoon kick (I'm a mommy of 1 kiddo who doesn't sleep during the day and another kiddo who doesn't sleep at night!) without caffeine. I have nothing against caffeine...I drink coffee every morning, but if I drink it too late in the day then I have trouble getting to sleep. And I rarely drink sodas because of all the chemicals and sugar (go on family, and roll your eyes!) that I just don't want to consume.

I was browsing through Shaklee's healthy weight products and saw the Cinch tea and decided to give it a whirl.

What's the Shaklee claim about this tea?

  • It's a natural alternative to coffee, sodas, and sweet snacks
  • Includes taurine, which is a widely studied amino acid that enhances alertness, energy, and endurance
Much to my surprise (I really was skeptical about it), it works! It really gives me some extra energy without feeling jittery or agitated, which I can get from caffeine. And as a bonus to me, it's all natural and doesn't have all the preservatives and/or chemicals that other drinks might have. Plus, I haven't experienced a 'crash' from it or felt overly hyper. Yay!

So what's in it?
  • A three-tea blend of Matcha green tea powder, white tea extract, and Rooibos red tea extract
  • Stevia for sweetness

Who benefits from it?
  • Anyone who wants a low-calorie alternative to sugary snacks, sodas, or coffee for quick energy
  • Anyone looking for a way to manage their weight and inches
  • Anyone who wants to boost energy naturally
  • Anyone who wants the antioxidant protection and benefits associated with green tea

And now for the big question: How does it taste?
It's pretty good!  It's not very sweet but that's because there are no artificial sweeteners. I want a quick pick-me-up so I mix it with about 6oz of cold water and gulp it down. I start feeling the pick up within about 15 minutes.

So if you're looking for an all-natural energy boost, I highly suggest this tea mix. It's available in Unsweetened Tea or Pomegranate Tea.
